NZ Weather Causing Road Closures & Port Disruptions

Significant rain, strong winds and snow have battered the South Island of NZ this week, resulting in flooding, slips and multiple state highway closures.

Additionally, the Hawke’s Bay region, including Napier Port, is forecast to experience winter storm conditions tomorrow, Thursday, July 9th, with heavy winds expected for the entire day. As a result, Napier Port has advised that Gate and Depot closures are likely. Several vessel cut-offs have also been rescheduled for tomorrow.

As a result of these road and port closures, please prepare for possible delays, congestion and equipment shortages over the coming days. We recommend building extra time into your schedules and submitting shipping documentation and bookings as early as possible to avoid missing cut-offs. We are closely monitoring the situation and will keep you updated as conditions develop. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
